About Me

Hello! My name is Tim Wilson. I've been leading tours and guiding at Grand Canyon for over ten years. I'm originally from Chandler, Arizona and moved to Flagstaff about fifteen years ago to work for Arizona Conservation Corps. It was during that time on the corps that I fell in love with Grand Canyon as we worked the trails and assisted the Park Service with several projects. My obsession of the Canyon began with hiking, but it quickly diverged into multiple interests. For most of the last ten years I have been working for Canyon Dave Tours learning about geology, botany, and Native American cultures and traditions. My own personal interest in all things history led me to joining the Grand Canyon Historical Society, of which I'm currently a board member. I am also a member of the Grand Canyon Hikers and Backpackers Association and have joined them on several volunteer trips in the Inner Canyon. In 2023 I began my journey as a small business owner and started Tim on the Rim, LLC. In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping, fishing, and traveling with my girlfriend Erin and dog Maggie. I currently live in Munds Park, Arizona.
